14. Simpson Portwood. Born on 25 Sep 1851 in Macon, Macon, Illinois. Simpson died in Rainier, Columbia, Oregon, on 29 Jan 1931; he was 79. Buried in Green Mountain Cemetery, Rainier, Columbia, Oregon.
In 1873 when Simpson was 21, he married Sarah Carolina Portwood.
They had one child:
15. Mary Elizabeth Portwood. Born on 12 Jan 1852 in Mowequa, Shelby, Illinois. Mary Elizabeth died in Decatur City, Decatur Co, Iowa, in Jan 1916; she was 63. Buried in Fairlawn Cemetery.
abt 1875 when Mary Elizabeth was 22, she married Reden Scribner. Born on 24 Aug 1840. Reden died in Aug 1914; he was 73.
